Singles Charts 1960-63
These charts track the progress of the all the Singles by Cliff Richard, The Shadows and Jet Harris & Tony Meehan between 1960 and 1963. They highlight an amazing fact: Cliff, The Shadows and Jet & Tony had a presence in the top 20 every week for four solid years, with the exception of just one week. They don’t make ‘em like that any more!
In the 1950s and 1960s, several organisations compiled their own UK charts using different sources of sales figures. This inevitably let to differences in the positions that records attained. The data on the following charts comes from www.officialcharts.com. Other chapters may quote from different charts.
